Legal problems in a business are rarely legal problems alone. A lawsuit affects budgets, schedules, and working relationships. A poorly drafted agreement can complicate a sale years later. When we advise a client, we consider what a course of action will cost, how long it will take, and what it will demand from the people who run the company.
Much of our work is preventative. Sound agreements, clear personnel policies, and periodic compliance reviews resolve most questions before they become disputes. When a dispute cannot be avoided, we are prepared to try the case and to handle any appeal.
